Crushed Mic
One of the first graphics created for Buddhapparel. As with many of the ideas that were brought to me for completion, Tony from Buddhapparel explained that he wanted "a microphone being crushed by a hand." Recalling a sample from an old EPMD video, where two sets of fists grip a microphone in a similar way to how one used to choose who went first in softball -fist over fist, until one person's fist is on top- I recalled "The Crown" manuver, or "Crow's Foot," in which the last person trumps the last full fist by gripping the very top with not a full fist, but more with fingers. A somewhat obscure childhood image of managing to come out on top against the odds. That was the choice for placement of hand. The crushing portion of the show? Well, that was just me getting lost in the detail. |
